Gamescom is the world’s largest event for computer and video games, held in Cologne.
Gamescom is special, with a very peaceful atmosphere and a calm crowd, driven by a shared enthusiasm for digital art, even in the sometimes hour-long queues.
However, for a couple of years now, real death and destruction have invaded the fair, with the army and major defense industry companies showing off their deadly wares in the career booths.
There’s nothing honorable or manly in killing or being killed; it’s just something benefiting our chancellor’s stock portfolio.
The military is abusing the fair; they should not be present.
Enticing young people to kill should not happen at Gamescom.
