{"id":529,"date":"2019-08-25T06:12:35","date_gmt":"2019-08-25T10:12:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chfrank.net\/wordpress\/?p=529"},"modified":"2019-08-25T06:12:35","modified_gmt":"2019-08-25T10:12:35","slug":"segway-done-right","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chfrank.net\/wordpress\/2019\/08\/25\/segway-done-right\/","title":{"rendered":"Segway done right"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend I had the great opportunity to test-drive a prototype of a new scooter, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.steereon.com\/\">Steereon<\/a>; I&#8217;ve been watching it closely ever since I saw the first prototype during a startup event at Stadtgarten a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>The Steereon will come in two versions (for regulatory reasons) and sports a unique, all-wheel steering which makes driving an enormous amount of fun; the founders call it &#8220;Carving on the Street&#8221; and that&#8217;s pretty much exactly how it feels.<\/p>\n<p>As a modern device for urban mobility on the last mile it&#8217;s basically what the Segway should have been &#8211; light weight, fun and extremely agile.<\/p>\n<p>The scooter will become available during early 2020 (planned) &#8211; I can highly recommend it and plan to pre-order one<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chfrank.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190824_140331_edited.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"741\" height=\"419\" title=\"IMG_20190824_140331_edited\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"IMG_20190824_140331_edited\" src=\"http:\/\/chfrank.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_20190824_140331_edited_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Test-drive in Cologne, e-Scooter configuration)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend I had the great opportunity to test-drive a prototype of a new scooter, the Steereon; I&#8217;ve been watching it closely ever since I saw the first prototype during a startup event at Stadtgarten a year ago.
