{"id":187,"date":"2018-12-23T14:18:41","date_gmt":"2018-12-23T19:18:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chfrank.net\/wordpress\/?p=187"},"modified":"2018-12-23T14:21:14","modified_gmt":"2018-12-23T19:21:14","slug":"pre-holidays-movie-spree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chfrank.net\/wordpress\/2018\/12\/23\/pre-holidays-movie-spree\/","title":{"rendered":"Pre-Holidays Movie Spree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the week before the holidays I went on a movie spree &#8211; the past weeks had been quite intense and I didn&#8217;t find any time, so as the year&#8217;s winding down, it was time to catch up.<\/p>\n<p>I got to see:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse,<\/li>\n<li>Aquaman,<\/li>\n<li>Mary Poppins Returns and<\/li>\n<li>Bumblebee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mary Poppins Returns is a great remake of the original, musical style, with singing leeries doing parkour; might be boring for kids under the age of 50.<\/p>\n<p>Aquaman is solid action fare, but not something really new.<\/p>\n<p>Bumblebee is a great prequel to the Transformers series, with B-127 as a cute beetle saving the world and setting the stage for the series.<\/p>\n<p>Spiderman though was something entirely different &#8211; completely new universes, complete new set of characters, including a spider-pig named Peter Porker; I&#8217;m looking forward to more of Miles&#8217; adventures on the big screen!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chfrank.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG_20181217_185746_540.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" title=\"IMG_20181217_185746_540\" src=\"http:\/\/chfrank.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/IMG_20181217_185746_540_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20181217_185746_540\" width=\"417\" height=\"417\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the week before the holidays I went on a movie spree &#8211; the past weeks had been quite intense and I didn&#8217;t find any time, so as the year&#8217;s winding down, it was time to catch up.
